Bobbie Marie was born in New Jersey to a Taiwanese mother and German/Scottish father.  Currently, they are attending the Maryland Institute College of Art as a General Fine Arts Major. They live and work in Baltimore, Maryland. Using drawing as a basis for their artistic practice, two dimensional spaces flow into a multitude of mediums such as printing, painting, sculpture, fibers, and performance. Ranging from figurative to abstract, their work often draws inspiration from personal experiences that connect to a collective consciousness through the spiritual practices of Taoism and Buddhism. They are deeply interested in nature and divine geometry as a basis for framing their work, further highlighted by their curiosity in the concept of “Mother Nature”, hiding many yonic symbols and allegories in their pieces. Waugaman’s work has been featured in BmoreArt and exhibited in galleries such as Gallery CA, Night Owl Gallery and more.
